The Great Danger of Rejecting Jesus
12:16

Topic: The Great Danger of Rejecting Jesus
Text: John 1-3
Focus: John 3:36 "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
Discussion: The Gospel of John provides a clear and urgent warning about the dangers of rejecting Jesus Christ. From the opening verses, John establishes Jesus as the eternal Word of God (John 1:1), the Creator of all things (John 1:3), and the Light that shines in darkness (John 1:5). His mission is to bring salvation, yet many reject Him, leading to dire consequences.
Before we look at these consequences, let us see ways people reject Jesus, so we can reflect on our lives too, to see if we are rejecting him or not.
A- The Ways to reject Jesus
Here are more ways people reject Jesus:
1. Outright Denial (Like Peter) – Peter denied knowing Jesus three times out of fear (Matthew 26:69-75). Some reject Jesus by verbally denying Him, especially when pressured by society.
2. Outright Betrayal (Like Judas) – Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus for money (Matthew 26:14-16). Some reject Jesus by knowingly choosing personal gain, even at the cost of faithfulness.
3. Combining Jesus with Others (Like Simon the Sorcerer) – Simon Magus believed in Jesus but wanted to buy the Holy Spirit’s power for his own use (Acts 8:18-23). Many reject Jesus by treating Him as just another religious figure rather than the only way to God.
4. Superficial Following (Like the Rich Young Ruler) – The rich young man followed God’s commandments but refused to give up his wealth to follow Jesus (Matthew 19:16-22). Some reject Jesus by holding onto their idols instead of surrendering fully to Him.
5. Half-Hearted Commitment (Like Demas) – Demas was a companion of Paul but abandoned the faith because he loved the world more (2 Timothy 4:10). Many reject Jesus by prioritizing worldly pleasures over devotion to Christ.
6. Skeptical Doubt (Like Thomas, Initially) – Thomas doubted Jesus' resurrection until he saw proof (John 20:24-29). Some reject Jesus by refusing to believe without tangible evidence.
7. Political Steeze (Like Pilate) – Pontius Pilate knew Jesus was innocent but handed Him over to be crucified to please the crowd (Matthew 27:24-26). Some reject Jesus to maintain their social or political status.
8. Religious Hypocrisy (Like the Pharisees) – The Pharisees rejected Jesus because He challenged their religious traditions (Matthew 23:13-36). Many reject Him by choosing religious rituals over a true relationship with God.
9. Fear of Persecution (Like Many Disciples Who Left) – Many of Jesus' followers left Him when His teachings became difficult (John 6:60-66). Some reject Jesus because following Him requires sacrifices they are unwilling to make.
10. Deliberate Opposition (Like Saul Before Conversion) – Saul (Paul) persecuted Christians before his encounter with Jesus (Acts 9:1-5). Some reject Jesus by actively opposing His gospel and His followers.
Each of these ten ways and more represents a heart posture that refuses to fully accept Jesus as Lord. Some, like Peter and Thomas, later repented and turned back to Him. Others, like Judas and the Pharisees, remained hardened in their rejection.
B- What then is the Danger of rejecting?
John 3:36 states:
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
This verse sums up the greatest danger—eternal separation from God. Let us now explore three specific dangers of rejecting Jesus, supported by Scripture.
1. The Danger of the Great Condemnation
(John 3:18-19)
John 3:18 says:
"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
Rejecting Jesus does not place a person at risk of condemnation—it confirms that they are already condemned. This condemnation is not a future possibility but a present reality for all who refuse to believe.
Why is this condemnation so great?
1. It is self-inflicted – John 3:19 explains:
"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."
The rejection of Jesus is not due to ignorance but willful love for darkness over light.
2. It is irreversible without Christ – Jesus said in John 8:24:
"I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins."
3. It leads to eternal separation from God – 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 warns:
"In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power."
Without Christ, people remain in condemnation, destined for eternal judgment.
2. The Danger of Facing Eternity in God's Wrath
(John 3:36)
John 3:36 warns that those who reject Christ will experience God's wrath forever.
What is the nature of this wrath?
1. It is continual – The verse says, "the wrath of God abideth on him." It does not merely come upon a person at judgment—it already abides on them and will continue for eternity.
2. It is severe and fearful – Hebrews 10:31 declares:
"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
3. It is unavoidable outside of Christ – Romans 2:5 warns:
"But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God."
4. It results in eternal torment – Revelation 20:15 gives the final consequence:
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
To reject Jesus is to embrace God's judgment, a fate of unimaginable suffering and eternal loss.
3. The Danger of Missing Out on Jesus' Miracles Here
(John 2)
John 2 recounts Jesus’ first miracle—turning water into wine at the wedding in Cana. This event was not just about providing wine but revealing Christ’s power.
Why does rejecting Jesus mean missing His miracles?
1. Miracles affirm His divine authority – John 2:11 states:
"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him."
Those who reject Him miss seeing His glory in their lives.
2. Jesus performs miracles for believers – In Matthew 13:58, we see a tragic reality:
"And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief."
Unbelief limits the manifestation of Jesus’ power in one’s life.
3. His miracles bring transformation – The blind received sight, the lame walked, the dead were raised (Matthew 11:5). Those who reject Christ miss out on the spiritual and physical transformation He offers.
4. The greatest miracle is salvation – 2 Corinthians 5:17 declares:
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
Without Jesus, people miss out on the greatest miracle—being made new in Him.
Rejecting Jesus does not just have eternal consequences; it also means missing the miracles of His grace, provision, and power in this present life.
Final Call: Choose Life in Christ
The dangers of rejecting Jesus are severe:
- Condemnation is immediate and absolute.
- God’s wrath is abiding and eternal.
- A life without Christ’s miracles is empty and void of divine intervention.
But there is good news! Jesus invites everyone to receive eternal life through faith in Him:
John 3:16 –
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The choice is clear:
- Believe in Jesus and receive life, peace, and salvation.
- Reject Him and remain under condemnation, wrath, and loss.
Will you believe today?

Topic: Enjoying God's Provision for Glorious Living
Text: Genesis 1-3
As we come to this book of the Bible we will discover It talks of the origin, the beginning, and how what are, came into being.
The book gives the origin of the doctrines of sinfulness and depravity of man, the redemption and justification plan, the prophecy of the coming Christ, the personality of the Trinity, Judgement, and the doctrine of marriage and family Life.
This book is so significant that the new testament refers to its records severally.
Genesis was written by Moses, who had all these record Given to him by God, and he transmitted the same, by oral, and stone markings as the practice was, his record was preserved accurately, and orderly as the Spirit of God moved him.
The Holy Ghost gave testimony of this in 2Peter 1:21
"For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
The book of Genesis should not be taken as an ordinary history but as it is in truth, God's Inspired word, capable of bringing life, to the dead and dry bones, for it is God's word; Sharper than any two edged sword, a fire, and also water, a hammer, and also a comfort, let us not confront the word with contempt, but with absolute Faith to Receive from the author of this Book (The Holy Spirit).
And that is why tonight we are considering the topic: Enjoying God's Provision for Glorious Living
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
1 Corinthians 2:9
You must understand that you are not an afterthought of God, He made provision for you before creating you, therefore all you need is available.
That's why he said in Mark 11:24:
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Enjoying God begins with Knowing God.
And that is why the Scriptures opens with this Declaration, to clear all doubt, that when you look into the creation, you might know that there is God, hence the declaration, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1
This we can see as we read Psalm 19:1-4, Romans 1:19, 20
If God created the heavens and the earth, what then can He not give you? Think about it.
That's why Prophet Jeremiah exclaimed:
"Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:" Jeremiah 32:17
However, if we will enjoy God, we must believe in him, and that is why God did not hide his possibilities from us, so that we might believe in him.
Today as we come to study we are learning that There is nothing too hard for God in our Life, and any challenge in your life causing you to endure the Glorious Christian life instead of enjoying it, tonight! The Creation Power will take them out of the way in Jesus name!
As we look at the three Chapters that we are considering, we will focus on the following three things:
1.)Divine intervention for Creation and Re-creation
2.)Divine Intention For Created, and of Reproduction
3.)Divine Interest in Creatures' Rescue
1.) DIVINE INTERVENTION FOR CREATION AND RE-CREATION
As we read in Genesis 1:1 We see the Original creation Story, How God created the Heaven and the Earth.
_"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."_
But alas! in verse 2 we see the corruption of the creation:
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Because we know that When God creates it is Good, but you remember that Isaiah revealed to us that Lucifer was cast down to earth (Isaiah 14:12) and by him the earth became a chaos and that nessitated the need for a re-creation as we observe in verses 3-31
As you look into your life, you might have been a Child of God, before, but you lost the privilege, when you went back into your sins, tonight I have come to tell you, that The Savior is coming again to visit you, he will recreate his life in you. And your life will be beautiful again.
Looking at the Chapter, it talks about the
Doctrines of GOD in verse 1 as Used in the original as a Plural noun, Elohim, establishing the Doctrine of Trinity
In summary to conclude today's study there are several things to point out, let's see 9 of them.
1) Divine origin of the Universe: God created everything that exist, God is the uncreated creator of all things, from whom all things exists.
2) Decree that frames the Universe: "Let there be" this show our possibilities too, for he said the works I do ye shall do, greater works you shall do, and he said ye shall decree a thing it shall be established unto you!
3) Dichotomy of the Lights:
Genesis 1:3, 14 (KJV) And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
In verse 3: it talk about inviting the personality of Light, Jesus Christ, while verse 14 talks about the light body; Sun, stars...
4) Illumination for Creation "Let there be light!" The decree that initiated creation, that Invited Jesus Christ, into the Creation work.
"All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:3 (Read verse 4 and 5 also)
5) Discovery of Trinity of the Godhead: In verse 2 we have seen the spirit of the God, and we read in verse 26 God the Father saying Let Us make man, having an understanding that, the creation of Man was solely by God, we find out more than one personality involved, this could have been no other than the Three in one; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." 1 John 5:7
6) Divine Pattern in Humanity: the mould was God, we came from God, we were an image of God, and hence in John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? though this was lost through sin, we come close to this image through a walk with God; salvation, sanctification, Baptism in the Holy Spirit and other further kingdom experiences.
7) Divine Command for fruitfulness God made us to multiply, he is not interested in dormancy, stagnancy and retrogression, if you are experiencing any of these, call upon the name of the and he will bring fruitfulness into your life, he commanded it because we have a part to play, therefore don't be lazy, play your part.
8) Divine provision before Creation: Nothing was created by accident, he made proper preparation for you! He made plantation before beast, and all that before making man and hence gave them all to man, what do you Lack? God has it! What is your need? ask and you shall receive, there are riches In Christ Jesus, yet to be tapped by those they are reserved for.
Would you call on God tonight to receive your portion?
9) Detail Perfection in Creation When God looked on all he created he said they were very God, God did not cheat none sense, reject it if is is not Good, reject it if it is not very good. Don't settle for less.
That's where I will stop for today, I will continue from there next week.
I hope you can learn one or two things? If yes, take them to God in prayers.
Father we bless you for the Bible Study of tonight, you have revealed your mind to us, Lord, grant us the heart to see you as you see us and maximize your provision for us to live a Glorious Life in this present world, in Jesus name!
Lord, we are grateful for reminding us of your limitless power of creation. We pray today that your creative Power will cause a creative miracle in all lives in Jesus name.
We pray, that all that is below your standard in any life, reading this, by your Creative Power, upgrade them In Jesus name!
Any one sick, let your healing virtue reach out to them, when we shall meet next week, grant that we experience you in a greater dimension! In Jesus name I pray.
Amen.

The Consequences of Sin and the Hope of Redemption
04:21
No comments
Isaiah 24:5
"The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant."
Today we reflect upon the words of the prophet Isaiah in chapters 22 to 24. These chapters describe the consequences of sin and the hope of redemption that awaits those who turn to the Lord.
As we read the passage we see the judgement and judgements, and one may wonder why? But our focus verse, shows us the root of the problem, the disobedience of the people to the laws and statutes of God.
The consequences of this disobedience are severe and far-reaching. In chapter 22, Isaiah describes how the people of Judah have turned away from God and have become consumed by their own pleasures and desires. As a result, they are filled with pride and arrogance, and they ignore the suffering of those around them.
Isaiah 24 paints a picture of a world that has been ravaged by sin. The earth itself is under a curse, and the people are suffering the consequences of their actions. The cities are desolate, and the land is filled with violence and bloodshed.
But there is hope, dear reader. God has not abandoned us, and He offers us a way out of our predicament. In Isaiah 24:13, we read that
"The earth will be completely laid waste and totally plundered. The Lord has spoken this word."
But the very next verse offers a glimmer of hope:
"The earth dries up and withers, the world languishes and withers, the heavens languish with the earth. The earth is defiled by its people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statutes and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore, a curse consumes the earth; its people must bear their guilt. Therefore, earth's inhabitants are burned up, and very few are left."
We must take heed of these words, my friends, and turn away from our sinful ways. We must repent and seek the forgiveness of God. In Psalm 51:17, we read that
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise."
It is only through a humble and contrite heart that we can find true redemption and forgiveness.
As we journey through this life, we will face many trials and tribulations. But let us not forget the words of Isaiah in chapter 40, where he writes,
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
May we always remember these words of hope and redemption, and may we always seek to follow the ways of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
Challenge: "Repent and seek forgiveness, for the consequences of sin are severe."

Heed the warning!

Isaiah 16 – 18
Focus: Isaiah 18:3
“All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.”
Our passage today talks of the judgement of God coming on the wicked, both to individual nations (chapter 16,17) and the whole earth (Chapter 18), however, our text also reveals God's warning to those who will escape Judgment.
The nature of God condemns sin, he is holy, pure, and he is put off by sin, Habakkuk 1:13, Isaiah 59:2.
However, because of his love for humanity, and his knowledge of humans' inability to see beyond, he raises an alarm of danger ahead for every sinner and erring child.
He raises a warning for us today so that we don't fall into his Judgement. This warning comes through his word, and through his servants, at times he speaks to us directly, so we have to heed the warning to prevent the damnation.
CHALLENGE: What is God warning you about? Heed the warning, before he comes with Judgement.

Mercy makes the Difference

Text: Isaiah 13 - 15
Focus: Isaiah 14:1
"For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob."
Mercy is God's benevolent way of not giving us the punishment we deserve, it is the attribute of his love, hence the scripture says "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy." Romans 9:15
While many are receiving the just punishment for their unrighteousness, a few others have discovered mercy, and are receiving an unmerited favour from God.
Israel as a nation, was no better than all the nation of the earth at the time we are reading here, but she obtained mercy from God, and instead of punishment melted in other nations, the Lord shew her mercy.
The question then is this: how can I obtain Mercy?
Hebrew 4:16 offers the answer: "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
The way we can obtain Mercy, is to come to the throne of Grace and the throne is accessible to everyone, for it is revealed in Titus 2:11 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,"
It would be wise to allow this grace into our life, by repentance from sin and accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, the moment we have done this, and abide by the teachings of Grace, we have access to the throne of Grace, And thereby we can always obtain Mercy, and Grace for more Grace.
CHALLENGE: The Mercy of God is available to make the difference in your life, have you gone to the throne of Grace to obtain?
Our Deliverance from Slavery for Great Salvation

Text: Isaiah 10-12
Focus: Isaiah 10:27
"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing."
Talking about the anointing for our deliverance, it is sourced in Christ, through the Holy Spirit, from God the father. That's why Luke recorded in Acts 10:38
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him."
Today, as we come to study, God is revealing to us, his purpose, his will and desire: to deliver us from our burdens and yoke and to put upon us his Spirit, his Peace and his Praise.
However, we need to consider, what our situation at present is, so we could approach the throne of Grace and obtain appropriate help from the rock of our Salvation: JESUS CHRIST.
Here the Israelites were in bonds, for their iniquity: hypocrisy (Isaiah 10:6) and Idolatry (Isaiah 10:11). The same way today, sin enslaves many and has brought divers burden and yokes to the lives of many.
Noteworthy also Is how God promised to purnish the oppressors of the Israelites, because of thier pompous nature, thinking by their might they brought Israelites under their captivity.
Proverbs 16:18 says:
"Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."
However, it shall come to pass in that day...
The question then is: which day?
The day of repentance (2 Chronicles 7:14), the day of restoration is the day of repentance, that's why Jesus warned, so that we do not think deliverance is automatic he said in Luke 13:3
"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
Repentance is the key to recovery, some may wonder, but I have been born again, I repented of my sins and I am a Child of God, why have I not experienced this recovery?
It might be you need to repent of your unbelieve or lack of action toward achieveing the desired breakthrough.
After repentance, we have the promise of recovery, and replenishing.
Isaiah 11:2-3: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
After repentance we have a promise of Peace in the midst of peril and danger:
Isaiah 11:8-9 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den.
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
After Recovery, we shall have the Praise of God in our lips:
Isaiah 12:1 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
After Recovery there would be singing
Isaiah 12:5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
Today's study shows us the path from sinfulness and its sorrows to Solution and singing, I enjoin you to take this path today, and the Lord will give you a bew song of gladness in Jesus name! Amen!
CHALLENGE: Are you on the path to recovery, if not, why not? It is just a prayer away
