Study 3 Starting out right - Knowing the Will of God in marriage 2

Some weeks ago, we started the series, Starting out right, and we discussed  A General introduction on Choosing a Life Partner,
And last week we will continue the series, and we started the topic a practical topic "knowing the will of God"

Today we will continue the topic, already we considered:
-Strong Love
-Audible voice
-Intuitive Knowledge

Today, we will continue from there.

The Written Word of God: Psalms 119:105  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. The word of God, speaks to us, and concerning marriage, God can inspire a verse to speak to you concerning your partner to be,

See this example:

Revelation 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Generally this verse is Jesus speaking, but to you as you read you may hear God say to you, your partner is at the door, and will come knocking, few minutes later, the person comes knocking truly. That may be, God speaking,  if you have this, kind of perception, you may listen better, God will give you more confirmations.

Divine arrangement:
There are people, who get led by divinely arranged situations, God will bring them together, probably from far places apart, for the purpose of making them knows each other, and then he speaks to them, through other means for a confirmation.

This Divine arrangement could be that the two people, will always be, on same assignment many times, they may be sent by different people, and they will just discover they were sent on same, or complementary assignments. In Church they may need two people to do a task, and by nomination, just the two will be selected, sometimes, God use Divine arrangement like this, to reveal his will to singles, seeking his face. However, a note of caution must be clear here, that: You want to allow God to speak to you in other ways for confirmation, because the heart of some may be wicked as to manipulate this method, but this doesn't mean God don't speak through this method.

Visions and Dream:
Job 33:14-15, here Job gives us two ways By which God speaks to a man, by Visions and Dream.
Vision is the opening of your spiritual eyes, to see a Divine message acted out to you like a video, in this case you are not sleeping. But in the case of Dream, you are, asleep when this message is delivered to you from God. It is a gift of God Promised in Joel 2:28 to his Children, those, who are saved by Him.
In the case of knowing God's will in marriage, God can decide, to speak through Dreams or Visions, where he shows you your, partner.
When you have dreams and visions, be sure it is from a God, by allowing God to speak to you in other ways for a confirmation,  For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; (Ecclesiastes 5:3 ) when you have exposed yourself to much to an opposite gender, during the day, and you last down to sleep you may find out she will be there over you will Dream of, therefore take heed.

Preparation to hear from God

To hear from God you need to prepare, don't just rush to his presence, these three things will help you.

- Purity: Purity is the state of been pure, God wants us to purge ourselves from all Uncleanliness before approaching him, the first thing to be cleansed from is sin, you must be cleansed from sin, and be Saved.
Also, In seeking to knows the Will of God in marriage he demands that we, free our heart from, idols (see Ezekiel 14:4) what is regarded as idols in the case of someone, willing to know the will of God in marriage, is having a strong intention to marry somebody, and going to God for affirmation, just like Balaam willing to go with Balack, to curse Israel, but went to God, asking should I go, God said, he will answer such people according to the idol of their heart, like he permitted Balaam to go. If that's the go you get from, God it is called a permissive will, which is not always leading to the Best Home, God planned for you, therefore when you Go to God, go with a clear heart and tell God to speak to you, and be ready to do whatever he says.

- Prayer & Praise: this two are wonderful ways, of hearing from God, when you Praise God you make him, to come down and hear your request, and when you pray, he will hear your petition and give to you a Bone of your bone and a flesh of your flesh.

-Devotion: devotion to God makes a avenue to hear God, when God knows you always study his word, at a particular time, he comes to you and listen to your heart's desires, and listen to you your requests. When you read his word, he speak to you, while you are busy with his work he will commune with you, just keep in touch with him.

Last week we started the series, Starting out right, and we discussed  A General introduction on Choosing a Life Partner, in the article we discussed:
-Starting with God,
-Right time, and
-What to do while waiting, and some more, in case you missed that, you can follows the link.

Today we will continue the series, and we are still on starting out right, we will discuss, practical ways of "knowing the will of God".

  "Marriage is sacred and must not be held with levity, because, the person you Marry determines whom you become."

What is the Will of God?

Youth of today find it difficult to comprehend when it comes to the issue of knowing the will of God, some even think the the will of God is only in Marriage, but this is not true.

The Will of God for you is Holiness, Love, and Glory. He wants you to be Holy, and abstain from all defilement, (see 1 Thessalonians 4: 3-6, Galatians 1:4) God wants us to
Dwell in love, toward each other (see  1 John 4:7) and primarily the will of God is that we Glorify him, (see Isaiah 43:7 ).

So when we talk about the will of God in Marriage we are talking about, setting up a Home, that will be Holy, filled with the Love of God, and showing forth the praises and Glory of God, and that's the will of God for you in marriage, however, to achieve this, your personal life must be in the Will of God, as a man or a woman.

To be in the Will of God you must have been Saved, and have a consistent relationship with God, that's when your relationship with any other man can be Holy, lovely, and Glorious, therefore if you are not yet born again, take this step today and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

  How to Ask God to know His will

Now that you have a relationship with God, then you can proceed to the next step, which is to ask him, he is your father now, and you can ask him whatever you desire, but how do you ask? To ask God is to pray, Mark 11:24 says:  "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

How to know the Will of God

The will of God is revealed to us in several ways, the best thing is to know how God speak to you, he will still speak to you concerning marriage the same way, however, for those who have not exercise themselves before in hearing from God, I will give you some ways God Can speak to you, remember God is not stereotyped, he can choose to speak to you differently, but in any way be sure it's God.

-Strong Love: sometimes God speaks to you concerning Someone, through a strong Love for a particular Person, it's a love you can't explain, a times you decide to pray against that feeling thinking it's lust, but you discover, that the more you pray the more you feel the love, then, probably God is speaking. Try to listen better, God will confirm to you using any other means listed below.

Audible voice: Isaiah 30:21  And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. God also speaks to our ears, literally you hear God speak to you, he may give you the name of someone, and tell you everything about the fellow and say that's your partner, also he may speak to you on how you will meet the person that would be your partner, so as you take step, you will find out all he said to be true. That's to tell you God spoke. If this is how you got your leading, you can go right on, but you may still need further affirmation.

Intuitive knowledge: Hebrews 8:11  And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. God also also speak to us by making us know him, you just can distinguish that clearly, this is the Will of God, not because you see anything, not because you heard anything, but you just know, that this is the Will of God. You will also need a confirmation.

Starting out right - A General introduction on Choosing a Life Partner

Gen 2:18-23, Proverbs 18:22 19:14

   Choice of a Life Partner is crucial, it is the making of the complete man. Until a man has a help meet for him, he is not yet fully made, these series of articles will be focusing on knowing the will of God in marriage, as a single Brother or Sister, thereafter we will proceed to the study of Christan Home, but let's start today with "Choice of a Life Partner"

- Start with God

Finding a partner is crucial, and it is a good thing, when God shows you favor. (See Genesis 2:18)

  You can inherit anything from your parent, but not a wife, or good home. Many people today only find a girl or a woman to marry, but to find a wife is from God (See Prov 19: 14, Proverbs 18:22)

A right partner is not just one that can speak, or that looks Good, but one who can be a partner for Life, it is a great risk therefore, to go into marriage without God who knows your future.

- The Right Time

For everything there is a season...     The first thing before going ahead into making choice of Life Partner, is to know if it is time, I mean the right time to, go for the "Will of God" but how do you know if it is time?
Let God say to you it is not good to be alone. Listen to God at every stage of your life, and once you hear him say so, then, it is time to get started! If No, that means you have more time to prepare, therefore wait, and prepare, and while you wait, discover your purpose.

- Prepare & Purpose while you Wait.

There is someone that is suitable for your life's purpose, and destiny. Whom God has kept, and preserved for you like the bone of Adam's rib.
The person may not seem to be visible now, but will be visible as you begin to discover your purpose in life.

So many will suit your today but not tomorrow, therefore be diligent to discover your purpose in life, your age, parent, peer pressure, level, or whatever situation should not cause you to rush into marriage with the wrong partner, remember it is a Life contract.

While you are waiting, Prepare adequately, plan and design the Home you desire to build, don't be troubled while waiting, Don't toil with other people's emotion in order to to get your partner, don't start "testing it" (premarital sex), dating, sending gifts to specific opposite gender, it can raise a wrong suggestion, don't dress to attract him/her don't influence your Choice.

Go to sleep like Adam on this matter, don't be anxious. Simply trust God and rest on his promises to order your Steps.
