Topic: Principles for all-round success

Text: Exodus 17, 18 & 19

Key Text: Exodus 17:10  So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

Discussion: Israel were on the journey out of Egypt, but then came the need for water, God supplied, Amalek came  to fight them they got the victory, God came and had fellowship with them, all this were testimonies of God's goodness,

These testimonies were not just a product of luck there were some underlining Principles, let's consider them:

-Call on the Lord:( Exodus 17:4 ) Moses was not like the multitude, he knew how to go to God, he went to God and God gave answer, the next time you need anything learn to ask from God.

Unity, Obedience and diligence: ( Exodus 17:10 ) Joshua was Obedient and diligent, he fought amalek, and
Aaron and Hur, united with Moses to raise his hands and Great was their Victory. When we unite great Victory follows.

Division of labor: (Exodus 18)
Moses was diligent, but he would have worn out quickly, but for the advice of his Father in law, diligence is good but division of labour makes the work easier.

Purging for progress: (Exodus 19) Progress is impeded by heavy weight, s also, sin is an emotional and spiritual weight,  if we must go far we must drop sin far behind,

Challenge: the way to the top will not allow the weight of Sin, laziness, and discord, get rid of them and call on God, Great will be your testimony.

Prayer: Set my feet on the path of Success

Topic: Be not weary in Well doing

Text: Genesis 39, 40 & 41

Key Text: Genesis 41:39  And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

Discussion: Joseph was sold into slavery by his Brethren, then he came into Potiphar house, the master had a good comment of him, (see Genesis 39:3 -6 ) this made him to leave all that he had in Joseph's hand.

  Then came a temptation: his master's wife cast her eyes on him, desiring him to lie with her, but Joseph knew the thing was wickedness against God, many young men of his age would have taken the offer to save thier Job, but not Joseph, he ran, leaving his garment in her hands, when she attempted to force him, this landed him in prison.

  Yet in the prison  "...the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it." (Genesis 39:22) how many can still continue to work for God having Lost something, while standing for God.

  Then he met two fellow prisoners, who were sad, they had a terrible dream, rather than leave them to thier predicament, since they were all prisoners, he saw the need to help them calm their fear, he asked for their dream and told them sincerely, he could have tried to be too Pitiful by telling the Baker a lie, but that would have rubbished the testimony of him. How many preachers will like to hide the truth from their members about Hell and Coming Judgement, on the disguise that they don't want to cause fear in their congregation, such are in the danger of Hell themselves with their congregation.

  The Butler forgot Joseph, but God raised the need for Joseph, Pharaoh had a dream, which none could interprete, and Joseph was Remembered, and he ascended the throne as the second in command in the strange Land. That is your story, you shall ascend the throne, even where you have been tagged a stranger.

Challenge: Don't giveup on Doing Good, it will take you to the Throne

Prayer: Make me Lord a solution to my Generation
