The Place of The Believer's Authority and Power

Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (KJV)

Jesus Christ, knowing the need for power in his disciples, since he knew he was sending them as sheep's among wolfs, he knew there will be attempts by the serpents of the world, and the spiritually wicked men will want to attack, for this Jesus did not send them away empty, he said Behold I give unto you power... In the same vain Jesus gives all believers of today the power over all the powers of Darkness, over all spiritual wickedness in high places, but he said behold I give into you power. From today you will discover your place in Christ and the authority that Christ has given to you henceforth you will no longer be a coward in Jesus name.
It is saddening to know that believers in Christ, don't know their right In Christ, some are often terrified by every little move of an ant, cockroach, rat, even when Jesus said, we shall tread upon serpents, not just a serpent but serpents, why then are you afraid of all those things, receive the power and you will be bold and courageous, remember Peter he was also a coward, before he received the power but the moment the power came a single message at the upper room 3000 were added to the church.
Timothy was growing cold, trying to recoil into his Shell, because there were some trying to despise him, because of his youthfulness, but Paul said to him wake up,  Neglect not the gift that is in thee... The truth is that when we neglect the gift of God, the word of God, and the fellowship with the Holy Spirit and we begin to meditate on what people say, we tend to forget who we are in Christ, hence Paul admonish Timothy till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Beloved brethren it is time for us to go back to the Bible, and find out our place and position, of power and Authority in Christ.
It is important also to note that Jesus did not say, I gave unto you power, hence, we could have concluded that the power ended there, but he said, Behold I GIVE unto you Power, he gave before they went, he was still giving them as they were with him, he was still going to give them more, and that is why he said "and greater works than these shall ye do; because I go unto my Father." He knew he was going to the father to send the outpour on the disciples and on Believers today, that is why the power increased at Pentecost, the Pentecostal experience was not the last, Act 4:31 also told us "And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness." And that was not the end, the Holy Ghost still fills believers today, you shall be filled.
As the Holy Ghost come more and more on believers, that they might do more and more exploit for God, that the promise of greater works might be accomplished, many people take this for granted and try to go contrary to the will of God, that says nothing shall by any means hurt you, several "Men of God" so called are fond of abusing the power, using it to hurt fellow children of God, and this is an abomination in the sight of God, He said nothing shall hurt you, also be said, "And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea." This is to tell how much God values his children, but some Christians today, are drunk with power so much that they forget the will of the Giver, to such God is angry, some of them have made sorry and sad the children of God who God had not made sad, they lay curses of children of God to exercise control over them, of such Christ does not give his approval. Believers therefore must be watchful, careful and sober, not to allow the canal lust of power to drag them to Hell. When the power is there the assignment is, to  preach, to deliver, to destroy the works of Satan, not for destruction of fellow children of God or to usurp authority over the Children of God. Isaiah said "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; " and Jesus repeated it and said "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord." That is the purpose of the anointing, it is not for pride, not for oppressing others, not to get respect from people (though people will respect you but that is not the purpose) it is not to get money out of people's pocket, (though people may willingly give to you in appreciation, that is not the purpose)
The purpose of the power, is to get the gospel message preach both full and free, to all categories of People, to reach the tender hearted and the stone hearted, to reach the poor and the rich, to touch the simple, and the crafty, to reach the free and the bond, to transform the moralist and the immoral, to get people out of their problems, get their blind eyes opened, to heal the broken hearted, to mend homes and relationships by the power of his spirit, to set free the captives of the mighty, to bring faith to the hopeless, to pull down strong holds of darkness.
Beloved, Ye shall receive Power, but what is the condition, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you... The Holy Ghost has been sent, for he said but if I depart, I will send him unto you. He ascended, and he sent the Holy Ghost, if you are saved from sin, sanctified and separated from the worldly Lust then, the Promise is unto you, you shall receive power.
The place of the believer's power and authority can not be over emphasized, The Bible makes us to understand that as believers we have been raised up together, and made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that is, we have great authority, great position and Power, Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. the scripture adds, thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee, Jesus said and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Is it not high time you got this power? You shall receive Power.
Today the power of God, the fullness of the Holy Spirit will fall on you, just find a place, where you can be alone with God, and take the following steps:

1) Do a sincere heart search: i.) is there sin there in your life, if there is confess your sins to God and ask him to forgive you, ii.) Is there someone you offend, or offend you, forgive him his offense right there, and go to meet him reconcile with him iii.) Is there any any thing you exhalt more than God, begin to bring them down, do you love money more than God, is it position, power, anything, understand that the commandment of Jesus Christ is, Love the Lord your God with ALL your heart, soul and spirit. Begin to allow the love of God to overwhelm you till all of life becomes like shambles.

2) Do a heart preparation: pray to God and say make my heart fit for thy dwelling, sanctify me and make me fit for thee.

3) Open your mouth and pray, and Behold God will fill you with the anointing Divine, the promise is unto You as you pray in Faith, the Holy spirit has been sent and he will fill you to overflow.
