Topic: Great Day of Reward
Text: Genesis 46, 47, 48, 49, 50
Genesis 49:1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
Several years has passed, since Reuben went to defiled his father's bed, and since Simeon and Levi had committed violence against Shechem and his city by destroying them, but here comes the day of Reward, a consequence of thier evil will receive, no wonder, while others Got Blessing they missed thier portion, what a tragedy.
Several a living without the consciousness of the day of Reward, they live in sin as if it all ends here, but it doesn't! There is a hell to avoid, a Heaven to pursue, Jesus said in Luke 13:24 "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able." There is need to awake from slumber and get ready for the Lord's return, 1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
If we are ready, what about your neighbor, customer, coworker, and your relatives, what's your concern about thier salvation, don't you care if they spend eternity in Hell?
After the death of Jacob, his children kept his instruction, and buried him in the Land of Canaan, several are only Obedient when there yes someone to supervise, else they go their way, today God is warning us to be always ready for his coming, remembering that their is a day of Reward, where the hypocrites will be exposed therefore let us be ready for the Lord's coming, laying aside all hypocrisy, lying, and all the sin that do easily beset us, and run with patience the race that is set before us, that when there King of Glory shall appear, we may be Like him.
Challenge: What shall be your Reward?
Prayer: Make me fit for a heavenly Reward.
