BE STILL

  This is a  message  to all Nigerian Christians, at such a crucial time like this, please do yourself  a great favour by reading the contents to the end.

My attention  has been drawn to the recent occurrences in our dear nation,  how  it seem heaven is getting  silent about the resent persecutions against the church,  but has I meditate I found  a solution to the  killings and arrests  that is going  on,  it is a comfort from the scriptures  see it in
Psalms 46:10

  Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Then the word came to  me that, we are too anxious,  we anticipate evil and that what we get,  we fear persecution even when there was none,  and what we feared is happening  to us.

The Lord is  saying,  we must not be distracted  from our primary  purpose,  we are the light,  and the Lord will  always  make a way of escape,  for everyone of his children,  if it is not your time to die,  no man can kill you.

The greatest danger that Christians have to conquer, is our fears,  that's what can bring evil  on us,  in the scriptures James was killed,  for the same purpose Peter was kept in prison  to be killed, but Peter could not be killed, for the angel took him out.

But does that mean Peter did not  die,  he still  died,  of all the 12 apostles it was only the record of John the beloved,  that died natural death,  why because that was the way God wanted it,  he was cast into boiling oil,  yet he was not burnt,  why because he has not received the revelation, he later penned down in the last book of  the Bible, God only allowed them to die when they have fulfilled their calling. 

  What am I driving at? Know, that no one can cut short your life till you have fulfilled  all that the Lord has sent you  to do. He even said not a hair of your head will fall to the ground without his knowledge.

Beloved,  The Lord is saying,  let us all be calm and go about  our Evangelism as if nothing is wrong,  I tell you,  this is the time when men really need the Gospel,  but Satan is raising the dust of persecution to distract us,  we must be wise and know persecution is part of Christianity.  It has always led to the multiplicity of the gospel,  both  in Bible age and this our contemporary times.

Just to conclude  with this very important  note that was impressed upon my heart from that  verse "Be still and Know" that is, if you must know that God still fights for his own, you must be still, that is you must be calm. I  queried in my meditation and  I realised: when we are not calm,  we misfire,  we say things the Holy Spirit  would not have us say, when we are not calm we have no time to really pray,  like the church  did for Peter,  when we are not calm,  we won't have time for Evangelism,  when we are not calm, we will be distracted. Be calm and pray with faith, evangelize with zeal, and continue to live with full focus on heaven.

Beloved, to us all he says: "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
