Absolute Decision to Follow to the End.

Key Text: Romans 8:38-39  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Discussion:

Paul here was his absolute resolution to hold on to the Love of God, which came to him through Christ Jesus, he will not fringe, not quit because of anything, he was made up that, nothing will separate him from the Love of God, no wonder he did exploit for God, for he was like a tree rooted in the source of all nutrient.
The text reveals three important things:

1. The Love of God (Salvation of man {see John 3:16})
2. The Link to God(Jesus our mediator {see John 14:6})
3. The Life-Long  commitment to God (Man's response to Divine Love{see 2 Timothy 3:12})

Love made God to send Jesus as the link & the way back to Heaven, by cleansing us from sin, and this should cause us to respond with an absolute surrender of our life to him and His service

Beloved, this morning, make a decision to follow Christ unwaveringly, despite whatever comes your way, let nothing separate you from the Love of  Christ, and you will be established

Challenge: what shall separate you from God's love?

Prayer: Lord I receive more Grace to continue with you to the end, be with me as I go out in Jesus name. (Amen)

Eternal Power of Our God that Cannot Lie

Key Text: Titus 1:2  In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Discussion:
The key text of today is a reassuring verse, assuring us of:

-The hope of eternal life, if we believe in him, and walk in his prescribed precept with unwavering faith, we will be partakers of His Eternal Life.

-The infallibility of Our God that cannot lie, and if he has promised He is able also do it, for he cannot lie. When he promised to add all the other things to us he meant it, when He said if thou canst believe all things are possible, He really meant it,

-The eternity of the promise, the promise has been given before the world began, hence whatever comes after cannot cancel the promise, we can therefore be rest assured that faithful is he who called you who also will do it.

Today as you go about your daily duties, trust in God, be fully persuaded by his word and you will find out God cannot fail.

Challenge: what is that situation that makes you doubt the ability of God, And the promise of His word, if you can believe today you will see wonders.

Prayer: Lord I believe, I believe your word and your promise, as I go today, it is well with me in Jesus name.

Glorious Living Devotional : Feb 5: Hold your Peace

Topic: Hold your Peace

Text: Exodus 14,15 &16

Key text: Exodus 14:14  The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Discussion: We live in a world where trouble and struggles are the order of the day, fears abound in the heart of man and people are thirsty for peace everywhere, several fear grups the heart of men, even the fear of the unknown, unfortunately fear has never made us better, rather what we fear are made to manifest because we fear them.

One primary cause of our fear is because we do not fear the Lord, when we lack the absolute Faith in the unchanging God, shortly after the song of victory by Israel, they began to murmur, for lack of water, they had forgotten that he who made the sea to be parted, could bring honey out of the rock. As Christians, it is important to note that fear, is an imagination, we are not to be controlled by fear, but Faith, see the things which be not as though they were, see God in every situation, Moses knew this secret, and when Israel was complaining he simply went to God.

Build your Faith with this ingredients:

-The Word of God and His promise
-The testimonies of past victories
-The knowledge of God's ability.
-The songs of Faith
-The profession of conviction
-Seek first the kingdom of God
-The simple Obedience of Faith.

As you build your Faith, it becomes easy to hold your peace in the turmoil of the world and as you hold your peace the Lord will fight for you.

Challenge: Ephesians 5:19  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Prayer: I receive the gift of Faith to believe God for all things

Glorious Living Devotional : Jan 26

Topic: Power of Faith
Text: James 1:5-8
Key text:  But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering… (James 1:6 KJV)

Discussion

Our text today shows us God’s provision for us and his will to give out these things he has prepared, to as many as will ask, the verse says “if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him”, this is revealing to Us God’s plan for our life, He knows that wisdom is all we need in all we do, just as the Psalmist said, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom…” whatever we want, once we get the wisdom of God, we can have them. However, the passage of today makes us to see one of the secrets of answered prayer which is Faith. Having the understanding that, that which we are asking of God, he has, and also wills to give it to us, then it will be limiting, or underrating God’s ability, when we ask and we fail to have the faith to claim the promise. Jesus said, if a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone… (Luke 11:11 Kjv) God is more than a father, he loves us, and even it is in his love, that he sent Jesus to the world, if we believed that, and we are saved, then, what stops us from believing that he can do all things.
Are you still a sinner? I want to tell you that the promise is to the Children: and the food of the Children cannot be given to the Dogs, it would be wise, if you will turn out of your sin and accept Jesus as your Lord and savior. This way you will become a son and have right to ask anything from God and He will do it for you.

Challenge: Have faith in God
Prayer: help me to grow in faith and remain unwavering.

Topic: The Good Fight of Faith

Text: Jude 1

Key text: Jude 1:3

Discussion: As believers in Christ it is important for us to know that we are not of this world, we are pilgrims, we are journeying to Heaven and Jesus already said this in John 15:19 he said "If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." We have been saved and therefore chosen out of the world. But as long as we live in this world, the world wants to allure us back unto itself, the world strives to make us loose sight of Heaven and focus on the things of this world, therefore we are exhorted to earnestly contend, to defend our faith in God, to defend our salvation, delivered once unto the saint

There are three important things to note, Our salvation, the enemies of our salvation, and the fight against them.

-Our salvation: this is the benefits we receive through the substitutional death of Christ for the sin of the world That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. ( John 3:15 ) the word whosoever makes this a universal salvation, that is why Jude said it is a common salvation.
This salvation is available to everyone, God's will for all human is that we are saved, Joel already prophesied it, and the author of Acts quotes it that it shall come to pass  that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Acts 2:21)

if you are a sinner you can be changed, you can be saved, this salvation is for you, just turn to Jesus and say, Jesus, I believe you died for me, have Mercy on me, forgive my sins, and you shall be saved.

Our enemies: having Obtained salvation by Grace, we are to cherish this salvation and guard it jealously, for there are contenders that will tend to snatch it from us, and the source of this contention is Satan, he is the one who will come in several means in other to ensure we lose our salvation, some of the strategy Satan uses are; Sin, self (flesh) and worldliness,

Satan tries to lure us into outright sin, but when that fails he tries to use the flesh, (your desires, your wishes, your need, he dangles the image of them at you so that you will try to have them, but he will set sin on the way so that as you attempt to get those things you will stumble into sin.

When all these strategy does not work he uses the world, the world uses corruption, flattery, and persecution, to entice, to ensnare and finally entrap saints into sin, .

Those are the enemies, and that's the strategy, However, whatever be the strategy,  God is able to keep you from falling that is why Jude said "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy." (Jude 1:24)

Our fight: Romans 8:13 points it clear to us the role of the flesh, how if we allow the flesh it will lead to death(sin), but if we allow the spirit, to mortify(kill or deny) the deed(desire and demand) of the flesh, we shall live, hence our fight should be against the flesh.
But what are we to fight and kill in the flesh that are highlighted in 1 Timothy 6:4-5, 8-10, 12
They include, Pride, envy, strife, railings, evil surmising, perverseness, disputations, corruption in the minds,  incontinent, lust, pursuit of money and riches and more...
But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:11,12)

As we fight we should be sure that we have the victory since Jesus already said "I have overcome the world".

Challenge: Are you fighting the Good fight of Faith against the real enemy(Satan, Sin, Self) or bad fight off unbelief against God's creatures?

Prayer: I receive the Grace to enter into the reality of victory in Jesus' Blood

Key text: Genesis 30:22  And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.
