TOPIC: OUR CALLING TO SAINTLY LIVING.
TEXT: Romans 1, 2 & 3

KEY TEXT: Romans 1:7  To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

DISCUSSION: Our calling to saintly living is not only limited to Romans, throughout the scriptures,  we will find out that we are called to live a distinctly clear and saintly life,  for that is the will of God.

Description of the Saintly living.
Saintly living is God's expectation from us,  he expects us to live a crystal  clear lifestyle:
1 Peter 2:9  tells us that as Saints we "should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:" why? We are now saints   having a new nature, 2 Peter 1:4 described the nature as a "Divine Nature", having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust . and 1 Corinthians 1:8  shows that we are to be blameless but for us to be blameless 2 Corinthians 7:1 says let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
But how do cleanse ourselves, we  need the Blood of Jesus 1 John 1:7 the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

The Responsibility of Saints
We are not called to be saints without a purpose,  we are  called  to  show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: How?
1) By living the Life: the saintly,  blameless,  holy and righteous life,  before God and men.
2) By shining the Light: Jesus Said,  ye are the light of the world,  and as light  we should shine,  and eliminate the darkness,  by influencing others to come unto Christ,  that was what Paul implied when he said in Romans 1:14-15  "I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also."

The  Road-map to Saintly living
Romans 3:10,23 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
The call to saintly living is God's call to all,  however,  it is not something we get on the basis of whom we are, or what we have,  for all have sinned and none is righteous of himself,  but when we answer the call,  he takes us  through the path of  Salvation,  and heart purity,  that we might have Grace to live the life,  that's why Paul said in Titus 2:11-12  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
To live the saintly life we need the Grace of God.

CHALLENGE : God's grace is sufficient to keep us holy: living the saintly life,  get the Grace today, for its free in Christ  Jesus.

PRAYER: Lord  Give me Grace to live the Saintly life
