Determined to make a difference 2

1 Samuel 25:18

Then Abigail made haste, and took two hundred loaves, and two bottles of wine, and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of parched corn, and an hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on asses.

At a time when evil it's determined against a people, it takes one with determination to say, this evil must stop.

Many time God is looking for men who will stand in the Gap, but he finds none, because many are not ready to pray the price. Ezekiel 22:30

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

1- Courageous Determination:

There must be a determination to make a difference, she made haste  and took action, see ESTHER, in Esther 4:16 she said If I perish I perish, Eventually  she never perished. You won't eventually  perish rather you will be promoted.

2- Courteous Disposition: The courtesy of Abigail saved her household, how many times have failure to say sorry caused many to loose out their peace and possessions? Learn and practice simple courtesy.

3 Creative Discernment:

One who will stand in the Gap must know where the Gap is, what if Abigail  could not discern the evil determined; She would loose her life and family you must be able to discern.

4  Conceited Demand: One who will make different  must be an intercessor, must pray with heart felt need, Many thing won't Change to men begin to pray. Some things even demand Fasting, as in the case of Esther

5 Cruelty Dissolving: Making a difference sometimes demands Meditative strategy to calm aggrieved people,  hence the need for wisdom.

Making a difference come with a price of,  Self sacrifice, Speed, Prayer, Passionate Action, Stepping out of the crowd.

THERE IS A PRICE AND PRIZE, FOR MAKING A DIFFERENCE,  PAY THE PRICE, AND WIN THE PRIZE
